You can give a try to Balaton Volan (their contact). They have 4 examples of 260.43s still in service, however they will be withdrawn by the end of the year. Plate nrs are: ELN-921, EUE-613, GFX-945, GFX-946. (In local service there are still significant amount of exGDR buses, but there will be no new buses in that division in the near future, so those will remain in service for a while.)
These 4 vehicles had been given a complete renewal once in their lifetime. This meant full exterior and interior renewal. Their engine was swapped to a turbocharged Raba D10. They were well cared until about 5-7 years ago. Since then they are 'spare' buses, i.e. they replace other ones if those need some fix. This means their appearance is somewhat shabby.
If you seriously want to buy one, ask for all kind of pictures you can imagine. Their body structre may be rusted, which means that a decent amount of money need to be invested to achieve a presentable condition.
Try to contact them in German first. Lake Balaton (or 'Plattensee') is in the proximity, so there may be some person speak this language. Don't expect too much eager from them.
Other opprortunity is Bakony Volan (contact). There remained one 260.02 (DUL-848), which will go to the graveyard this year. Note that the third door was elaiminated on this vehicle. The information given above holds for this bus and company as well.
Az Ikarusok készítője, a Magyar autóbuszgyártó Kft. nyerte a BKV PKD (Partly Knocked Down) tenderét. Az első új háromajtós Ikarus V127 2014 tavaszán állhat forgalomba.

A 260.50 elvileg FÁK rendeltetésű, szóval exportból visszamaradt.
Alapvetően 260.06 a megoldás.
@ Alien Engel: Thank you very much, that is very friendly :-)
@ P. Stephenson: I know the Haidu Volan buses since 2 years. Last year I asked there and got some pictures, but the shape of the buses was horrible. This year I asked again, but they never answer.
About BKV buses I have heard, that they are not in good condition too. But I cannot prove certainly, so I just have heard. I just have looked to your link and I saw, that they sell 260.43. Means "komplett", that the buses are driveable and any compontents are still in it? Whom I can ask for questions? The mail address at the bottom below the list of buses? Or will you advise against buying BKV buses?
About your second request: I know one of the three authors, I've forwarded him your request, we'll see what he can do for you, I ask for your patience.
I am new member and I am from Germany. So please excuse, that I cannot write and not understand hungarian language.
If I have read in this forum before, I used the "google translator" with it's sometimes horrible translations ...
Now I have 2 request to you hungarian bus fans:
First request: COLORS of Ikarus buses for GDR (NDK)
I am searching for the original color names in the 80's years which were used in Ikarus Factory for delivery to the GDR (NDK).
I want to know the official colour name of the "Ikarus yellow" and if it was a colour from "RAL" color space or from east-german "TGL" color space. You understand, every color has a name.
So for example the tramway in Berlin was colored in "TGL" number 0310 "elfenbeinbeige" (ivory beige) and 0507 "rotorange" (redorange).
But the orange color of the buses from BVB Berlin was a little bit more yellow. It was not "TGL 0507" like the tram-orange.
I think, someone from the Ikarus factory should now, in which color they have painted the special colored vehicles for Berlin BVB.
And I want to know the color names and numbers from old Ikarus 180 and 556 buses white with red band.
In Germany no one can answer my questions, no one know ... so now I will try to ask in the "home country" of Ikarus buses and I will hope someone remember ... :-)
Second request: Picture in the book "Rolling legends" ("Az Ikarus évszázados története")
I have the book "Rolling legends" (english book version of "Az Ikarus évszázados története") from Gerlei Tamás, Kukla László and Dr. Lovász György.
On the top of page 93 there are 2 pictures of Ikarus 280.02 from 1974 in blue-white color for GDR (NDK).
In the book is no individual evidence of photographers or source of pictures.
I want to ask the three authors for this two pictures, but I cannot find a way to contact them.
And I searched for the publisher of the book. In the book stands "Didaktika Kft.". I tried to search with google, but I did not found any contact to a publisher with this name.
So my question to you: Does anybody have this 2 pictures (1 x blue-white 280.02 door side, 1 x cockpit view of the same bus)?
Or does anybody can help me to find a way to contact one of the authors or the publisher? Or a way to get the pictures in good quality?
Does anybody know, if there are Ikarus 260.02, 280.02 or 415 to sale in hungary?
If you know, please let me know too.
You can write to me in english or german language please.
