"The room was used for the eighth grade in the morning, with fixed benches running along the walls, and heavy table-desks that could not be moved, and the floor was painted black! Luckily, it was spring and summer time, and she could be outdoors with the children most of the time. She had no toys or play materials."

       E. Grunelius csekély 3-4 hónapig vezetett egy óvodai csoportot, még 1919-ben, Rudolf Steiner segítségével. A nyolcadikosok osztálytermét kapták meg délutánoként. Nem volt játékuk vagy alapanyaguk. Legtöbbször kint voltak, mert nyár volt, bent ilyeneket csináltak: agyagozás, rajzolás, mesehallgatás.
