A lengyelországi Gdanskban véget ért a főiskolai világbajnokság. A magyar női válogatott az aranyéremért játszhatott a házigazdák ellen, és 26–21-re kikapott.
A férfiak a 7. helyért zajló meccsen biztosan győzték le Törökországot 36–26-ra.
Game between Hungary and Japan was a real battle. Both teams were playing very concentrated because the prize was a match for the championship title. The score was almost all the time around a draw. The difference of goals was not bigger than 3. Japanese could win this game, but 3 minutes before the final whistle Hiroko Irimagawa received 2 minutes suspension. When the score was 29:29 and everything possible. It had a huge influence on the rest of the game. Tired Japanese couldn't play properly in defense. Hungarians took full advantage an scored three times in a row and there was no time to catch them. Japan similarly to Lithuania and Chinese Taipei has got 4 points. They have to win against Poland if they want to think about medal.
Hungary - Czech Republic 28:23 (11:11) Final against Poland and Hungary is getting closer and closer. After win against Czech Republic they are leading (Poland has one match less). After first half it seemed it is going to a hard game for Hungarians. But they were too strong for Czech's. Like yesterday Hungary thanks to tough defense and good efficacy won this game 28:23.
a gólszerzőket még mindig nem rakták fel a honlapra :(
Hungary – Serbia and Montenegro 28:24 (14:11) Opposite to previous match, favorite absolutely won. Serbia and Montenegro lost third time in the tournament. Because of that they are on the last place in a table. Relaxed and smiling Hungarians didn’t give their opponents any chances. Serbians made a mistake from the last game. Too many shoots from far afield gave Hungarian an opportunity for easy fastbacks.

Hungary – Chinese Taipei 41:21 (W) In their first game of tournament Hungary proved that it will be one of the best teams in Championship. They had 71 percent efficacy. Chinese Taipei couldn’t do anything in offensive actions because Hungarian defence was very tough. This are the reasons why they could score many easy goals from fastbreaks and penaltys.
